Day 2: Twentynine Palms

Day´s stage: 155 miles - overnight stay in Twentynine Palms

After breakfast we will visit Bartels` Harley-Davidson® in LA for a short visit and start our tour. On the way to Twentynine Palms is World`s Biggest Dinosaurs - Cabazon (Museum). The gigantic dinosaurs can be seen from afar. Our destination today is Twentynine Palms in the Mojave Desert. The city is located on the northern edge of the Joshua Tree National Park. It opens up a fascinating variety of plants and animals. The up to 900-year-old "Joshua trees" characterize the landscape, in which almost 700 different species of plants such as Cacti, Mojave Yuccas and Ocotillos can be admired.

Day 3: Kingman

Day´s stage: 186 miles - overnight stay in Kingman

Today we will take the famous Route 66 through the Mojave Desert. Our first stop is in the small desert town of Amboy, known for Roy's Cafe with its large advertising sign, which has become a landmark on Route 66. Route 66 continues via Needles, where we cross the Colorado River to Arizona.

On our way is Oatman, a former gold mining town in the Black Mountains. Wild donkeys "Burros" roam freely in the city. They are descended from donkeys that were once released by their owners. Continue on one of the most beautiful parts of Mother Road, the intricate Sitgreaves Pass to Kingman. There is the Mother-Road Harley-Davidson® dealer.

Day 4: Williams

Day´s stage: 130 miles - overnight stay in Williams

After breakfast we continue on Route 66. Our stopovers are Hackberry's General Store, arguably the most desirable Route 66 Museum in Arizona, and Angel Delgadillo's Route 66 Gift Shop in Seligman. The old hairdresser (born 1927) is now considered a guardian angel or father of the Mother Road, because he gained worldwide recognition as one of the initiators and co-founder of the Route 66 Association. Mostly you meet him in the shop.

Ideal for the second breakfast of the day is also Seligman Lilo's Westside Cafe`an, where you can taste delicious Cinnamon Rolls or Lilo's famous Carrot Cake.

Williams is a western city in Arizona and is touched by the historic Route 66. Williams is considered the gateway to the Grand Canyon.

Day 5: Page

Day´s stage: 186 miles - overnight stay in Page

Today we start early - the first is the Grand Canyon on the program. It is one of the great natural wonders of the world and is visited by around 5 million people every year. Continue through the Navajo Indian Reservation to Cameron. There we stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post (1916). The destination today is the town of Page on the southern edge of Lake Powell. It is located in the middle of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Especially worth seeing there is the Antelope Canyon, about 4 km southeast of the village. He is the most visited slot canyon in the southwestern United States.

Day 6: Mesquite

Day´s stage: 199 miles - overnight stay in Mesquite

Not far behind Page, we cross the border to Utah today. We drive the Scenic Highway 89 over Big Water to Kanab. Here we see a beautiful nature around the small town in the high desert. The red mountains are a stark contrast to the seemingly endless blue sky.

Continue on the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway, a beautiful scenic road with many viewpoints through Zion National Park. The Zion NP is located at an altitude of 1128m and 2660 m. The canyons were created from 170 million year old brown to orange red sandstone. A small western estate with very tasty hamburgers just after Springdale invites you to another stop. Shortly thereafter, there is a Harley-Davidson® dealer in Washington.

Day 7: Las Vegas

Day´s stage: 149 miles - overnight stay in Las Vegas

Today we drive through the Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada's largest and oldest state park. It is adjacent to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The Valley of Fire derives its name from the red sandstone formations formed 150 million years ago by large shifting dunes. We'll make a quick detour to the Hoover Dam Dam. It is located on the border between Nevada and Arizona. Here the Colorado River is dammed and forms the Lake Mead.

Our next destination is the bike delivery at the rental station and a transfer to our next hotel right on the Strip in Las Vegas.
